
2 Tbsp olive oil 1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
3 Tbsp Tiptree Red Currant Jelly
2/3 cup red wine
½ cup chicken or beef broth
Sauté onions in olive oil until tender. Add garlic and cook for two more minutes. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt Tiptree Red Currant Jelly over low heat. Add red wine and broth and bring slowly to a boil, whisking to combine. Add onion mixture. Continue boiling slowly until sauce thickens slightly. Strain sauce, if desired.
Excellent for poultry, pork, lamb and wild game.
