3 Tbsp Lyle’s Golden Syrup
2 Tbsp soy sauce
3 Tbsp tomato paste
1 garlic clove, minced
½ tsp ground mustard
Juice of 1 large orange
Juice of ½ lemon
1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 large pork chops, trimmed of fat
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 small onion, chopped
Preheat the over to 3250F. In a bowl, mix together the Lyle’s Golden Syrup, soy sauce, tomato paste, garlic, mustard, orange and lemon juice, and vinegar. Season the chops well with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a skillet and brown the chops quickly on both sides. Remove them from the skillet and place in a shallow ovenproof dish. Pour the sauce mixture and the onion over the chops.
